I think the health care industry, the fight over socialized medicine and health care, will be the defining "topic" of our time, of our country, literally and possibly, of mankind in this century. The ramifications of this one massively complex "issue" will reach into the very core of what it means to be human.
Woah, that is a pretty deep statement. I think this will be a big topic but I don't think it will be super black and white. Right now we have a very strange system that is private but heavily subsidized by public money. It's a mess. Everytime I think I understand it, I realize him a fool.
Yes, I think I agree with all of that. I was not suggesting it's at all black and white. This "issue" is so massively deep and complex on an almost infinite number of layers as to be mind-numbing. There are deeply moral issues at play, politics, government, religious, and many more.
