Somewhat. Now, computers ARE cars. The newest ones can’t be fixed by fathers in their driveways with their sons. They have shorter lifespans, and many guzzle the same amount of gas with the added injury of mined lithium batteries. And there are more card on the road than ever, some of them driverless.

Your first post was perfectly clear, and more honest. And you should fear the implications of ai paired with hubris and greed, if not ai itself. Yes, jobs and entire industries have come and gone, but not at such breakneck speed, nor with such little oversight or mass psychological impact.
